Protecting in place existing improvements and vegetation to remain; demolishing, clearing, grubbing, removing, and disposing of deleterious and excess materials; exposing, grading, and preparing subgrade for all proposed improvements; installing water, sewer, gas, and electric utility services; overexcavating, placing, and compacting earth fill; furnishing, placing, and compacting aggregate base; furnishing, installing, anchoring, connecting, and preparing for occupancy a manufactured housing unit, including foundations, entry stairs, entry ramps, and appurtenances; furnishing and constructing a concrete masonry unit (CMU) site wall; furnishing and constructing storm drain headwalls, pipes, basins, infiltration trenches, and appurtenances; furnishing and constructing Portland cement concrete (PCC) curbs, curb & gutter, sidewalk, commercial driveway, and other items; furnishing and installing cast-in-place detectable warning surface tiles; furnishing and installing lighting, electrical fixtures, and electrical improvements; furnishing and constructing hot-mix-asphalt pavement; furnishing and installing paint pavement markings, signage, parking wheel stops, and other items; furnishing, installing, and establishing landscaping.

ENGINEER’S COST ESTIMATE: The Design Consultant has calculated an estimate of probable construction costs for this project. The City does not wish to publicize the consultant’s estimate of the project cost since this information may tend to influence the number and nature of bids received. However, for bidder’s convenience, the City will publicize that the consultant’s estimate for the base bid falls within a range of $350,000 - $475,000.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: An optional (non-mandatory) pre-bid conference will be held for this project at the project site, 118 South G Street, Lompoc, CA 93436, at 10 am on May 15, 2024, as shown on the cover of the project manuals.
